On October 13, 1999, we found that the river was 9 m 30 cm wide and 47 cm deep under the bridge in the Złotoryja
bay. An apple thrown down from the bridge passed a distance of 10 meters within 23
seconds, it means vellocity of 1.56 km/h. That day water temperature was 80 C. We found a great number of litters in a distance of 100 m along the
river, though a month earlier the river banks were cleaned within the World Cleaning
action. Those were litters resulting from peoples' resting on the river with grilling and
camp-fires. We found empty beer tins, bottles, sweet packages, plates, foil
bags, a great cartboard, an aerosol tin, a plastic petrol can, pieces of
tires, a rubber horse, a plastic bottle container, and even a blouse and a
shoe.
